I was about to just consider this negative, but the left edge of the line is very dark, while the bigger right side fades out. Is this still negative? My husband is convinced it's a positive, but he knows nothing about OPKs lol.
... next cycle I am getting some digitals lol.

If it's not positive it's supersede close! I do know that the entire line doesn't have to be as dark as the control to be positive. It can be just a portion of the line. This one looks pretty close to me but it would be easier to tell in person.

These are so hard to say...I get these in almost every cycle and when I compared the strips to digitals in my most recent cycle the digital didn't want to count it as positive! But I'm going to guess your next one will be a more obvious positive.

Thanks everyone! I think I'll count it as a negative for now. I'll test tomorrow and see if I get a more obvious answer then!

@pui: The instructions for the opk's I used say that if one edge of the test line is as dark as the control, that means it's a positive. Mine always looked like yours and faded out at the edges. That's as positive as they got until I was about 6wks pregnant. Just don't want you to miss your window incase brands differ.

That is a tough one, but I would say it's not 100% positive and you'll probably get it tomorrow.
I like the cheap OPKs and when I'm unsure, I'll check with a digital. Helps to keep the cost down.

The instructions on mine don't mention that... In any case I BD twice yesterday, so I didn't miss out if it was a positive! I'll test again today and that will give me a better idea hopefully!

@Happygal: Yeah I think next time I'll have a few digital OPKs lying around for that purpose. This is my first time using OPKs and I kinda thought "pffft how hard could they be to interpret?"

@Pui: once you get a positive, you'll see that the cheap ones are worth it. For me, it's very obvious when they're positive and there's no guessing involved (although I do this every month!) I've come to trust the wondfos, but I still like using the digital OPK b/c seeing something smiling makes me happy and oddly proud.

I've having this issue still too!! So frustrating. Today is CD17 and if today isn't positive then it for sure happened over the last few sometime.

I read that if any part of the test line is darker than the control line then it is a positive. So it doesn't matter if its just the bottom half of the test line or the left edge. However, I'm still not sure that edge is darker than the control. Good job for BD just in case but I would test again later and maybe try a digital. Usually around that time I would try to test twice a day just to make sure you don't miss the positive!

@Babycanuck: I've had a positive OPK as late as CD 18, and as early as CD 14. Hang in there!

If I had that one I'd assume it was +. I think O comes on differently for different people and some ppl have more warning than others. Here are mine from this month & the one from the night before + is very neg, but the next morning I got a + and it stayed + that evening & the next morning but then started to fade by the evening. So I guess what I'm getting at is it can come on so quickly & leave quickly for other ppl that it can be easy to miss the strong + window & it's better to err on the side of doing it anyway.

My temp hasn't gone up at all in the last few days, where my CM indicated O but having a hard time with reading the sticks. I'm wondering if I'm a freak of nature? LOL! counting down the hours until my test OPK at 2!

I also read that if you have a gradient of color on the test line like you have, you should read the darkest part - and the darkest part of your line looks as dark as the control, I would count it as a positive. Mine looked just like that and I followed up with a digital and it gave me a smiley, just to be safe, consider yourself very fertile since a more obvious + is on its way anyway. Give yourself every opportunity possible.

WOW ok +OPK today - it started showing before the control line even did so watch for that, even without the temp jump!
