It's going to come up again and again so I was hoping I could get some help with using the proper grammar here. Our last name ends in an S. The sentence I am writing comes out like this (changing some things for privacy): Mary Jones last day at this school will be x/x/xx.
What do I do to the last name that ends with an s? Add "es"? Leave it alone? I know I don't add an apostrophe. HELP!
I hate having to add 'family' ("The Jones Family" to make it less awkward than "The Joneses") to every joint card signature - I miss the simplicity of my maiden name!
