You would think that while a baby is growing they would want MORE sleep. However, that never seems to be the case.
It is currently 5:30 p.m. and I just got LO down for her first nap since waking up at 5:00 a.m. this morning. That's right; over twelve hours with no sleep. She hasn't even been super fussy, just really not herself (no smiling, no cooing, just kind of a zombie baby). Her eyes have been red, bloodshot, and puffy all day, but no matter what I do she refuses sleep.
People have told me that the three-month growth spurt can get pretty hairy (she turned three months yesterday).
I would love to know why this happens! Maybe some medical hive members can weigh in on this (summoning @mrsjacks).
I am frazzled!
