I can do it one-handed, but not hands-free!

I learned how to cartwheel by myself in my backyard. When I was REALLY good, I used to put on "Olympic routines" for my mom. She would be the announcer and say something like, "Representing South Korea is 8-year old Rubies!" and then I'd come running through the yard and do my cartwheels. Then my mom would clap.

No way. I used to take gymnastics, acrobatics, ballet, etc. But now I'd probably just fall on my head.

Yes I was in gymastics for 10 years, I could probably still do a one-handed one, no way I could do an ariel anymore (no handed.) I could possibly still do a backhand spring too...when not pregnant!

Yup, I was never the best gymnast (no flexibility at all) but I loved to do cartwheels!!

Yep! I have a friend who was a cheerleader in high school (I wasn't) and she couldn't do a cartwheel. Everyone tried to teach her for 4 years, but she just couldn't do it. I was always naturally flexible and could do cartwheels, roundoffs, etcs.

Yup! Gymnastics was my life when I was younger. I get all giddy when I see it come on TV.

Oh yeah. I don't know if I could do one handed though. In my old age I seem to have gotten really weak wrists.

I used to be able to do a cartwheels, one-handed ones and flips (front hand spring). I think I tried to do a flip last year and was successful but boy, did my body hate me!

I know I can do a cartwheel, but I haven't tried a one-handed one in a while. I wasn't very good but I did gymnastics for 13 years so I hope some of it stuck.

Yes. I remember the first time I did a cartwheel still. I thought I was going to mess up since I had never attempted one before, but I ended up doing it fine and it really disoriented me for a while. I used to be able to do one handed ones, but I haven't tried one in a really long time.

Yep! I can do a regular cartwheel, a one-handed cartwheel, and an ariel! The last time I did any of these I was 8 weeks pregnant though (now I am 33). Hopefully I haven't lost my touch! lol

Yes, and I can still do the splits--or at least I could before I was pregnant. I haven't tried for a while as I'm currently 39 weeks, but I hope to get my flexibility and strength back!

Not sure if I can still do a cartwheel, but now I'm tempted to try!

@Rubies: Teehee! That is a cute story.
Yep, can definitely still do a cartwheel.
