Since having kids I haven't finished a cup of coffee without heating it back up at least once! It takes me forever to get through that first cup, mornings are so busy!
Can you finish a cup of coffee without re-heating it? If so, what's your trick?!

I never reheat mine! I have my coffee during naptime most often, so no problem there. This morning I drank it on the floor while they crawled around. I just make sure they are fed and clean/dry then it's time for coffee. They are at a fantastic age (9 months) where they can entertain each other pretty well while I get my caffeine on.

Yes, I put it in one of these. If I leave the lid on my drink stays hot for HOURS.

Always! Coffee time is sacred! I just let the LOs run amok when having my coffee.
Also, I hate microwaved coffee!

I am horrified at how often I gave made fun of both my mom and mil for having their tea or coffee in the microwave with it so beeping twenty minutes later... Now that I have a baby I joined the club. So, no, I can't finish it without reheating.

Only if I'm at work or I put it in a travel mug.

@yin: Hah, me too.
Yeah, I finish it without reheating it... because I end up just drinking it cold. Sometimes I'll put ice cubes in it and pretend it's supposed to be iced-coffee

Lately DD has been waking up like an hour earlier than big brother. She's happy to hang out in her bouncer for a bit first thing in the morning, so I enjoy my coffee hot. It's usually my second cup after DS is awake, I end up having to reheat or it sits in the microwave forgotten or I just drink it cold.
@yin: lol me too sometimes! I just down it like a shot.

It's gotta be in a travel mug -- it takes me a couple hours to drink it -- would love to sit down and sip uninterrupted -- it's a frequent fantasy, actually, but that never happens.

I just drink it cold! For most of lo's life I've been having a nespresso pod mixed with cold milk bc it takes too long to froth the milk so it's cold to start with anyway

Yes! As soon as I get up I put ds in his excersaucer while I pump and have coffee. I set him free when I'm done pumping and usually my coffee is done then too.

So funny, I'm still trying to finish my first cup (cold) now at 11am! I didn't reheat because I don't want the microwave to beep. It was hard enough to get DD down for her nap this morning so I'm not risking it!

Contigo!
It's also the only way I can drink a cup of coffee and not get it spilled by my toddler.

Yes I can, my trick is to wake up SUPER early and put cold milk and pray she doesnt wake up early LOL
DD knows not to touch my coffee cup so I usually can drink my coffee. She says Mommy thats your coffee and I say yes and she goes and gets her plastic teacup/juice and we cheers and drink together
Putting it in a tumbler helps keep it hot longer too.

I slam that coffee down so fast there is no time for re-heating hehe. I have a cup of tea at breakfast, which I don't mind pouring down the sink if it gets cold. Coffee though, different story. Straight down the hatch!

yep almost every day! Coffee is a priority Some days if she wakes up later I put her in her high chair and give her food and I sit down and eat my breakfast and drink my coffee with her. Some days I wait until her first nap then have my breakfast and coffee. Sometimes I need coffee and she is awake and its not time to feed her so I just sit next to the bookshelf while she plays and put it on the 3rd shelf between sips so she can't get to it.
But I guess I drink it pretty fast? 10-15 min in between playing with her or helping her eat.

Sometimes I don't get to finish my coffee until 2pm, and by then it's been reheated about 14 times.

Depends on the coffee and/or creamer I have access to. If I need coffee to wake myself up and all I have is Starbucks drip coffee, I'll sip it and never finish it.
I do prefer Starbucks lattes and I'll get a tall and can usually finish it. I've gotten grandes lately and have struggled finishing it.
I do like to save my coffee trips til I really need it or if I know I have a long drive ahead of me. Last month, I think I had less than 5 caffeinated cups. The month of December, I think I stopped at Starbucks at least once a week or more.

Just like @FannyMae: I chug the coffee since having kids! DH always makes fun of me. I remind him that I pretty much do everything fast before I'm interupted by anyone.

M and I have breakfast together so I can usually finish my cup - but there are days I need to reheat.

Our coffee maker is a thermal carafe. I always use a small coffee cup and refill, because half the appeal is that it's hot!

@oliviaoblivia: I have a contigo for work and it's awesome!!!! If I'm running late, it keeps my coffee super hot en route!

First cup, yes. But I drink 3/4 of a French press and I have to reheat the last cup or two!

Yes, coffee time is mummy time and I have it with breakfast so LO1 is busy with his own breakfast and LO2 is usually happy in her bouncy chair watching us (or still sleeping in her crib).

I usually drink it hot while I get ready in the morning. LO wakes up early, like 5... She she is usually up but I guess my coffee takes priority.
I'm not like, sitting on an arm chair while I drink it or anything-- I usually drink it while I shower and dry my hair.

Usually - I get very grumpy if I don't! I have taken to waking up an hour or before the kids so I can enjoy my shower, coffee, and newspaper before they get up and it is a great way to start the day.
Of course my 12 month old has twigged to what I'm doing and has started adjusting her body clock accordingly....sigh...
