I just received a text from my eye doctor saying my contacts are ready for pickup. And I've texted with our ped to show him pics of a rash DS had a few weeks ago! I think it's a nice extra tool for quick questions.

No. I just get text reminders from the ped about upcoming appointments.

Not exactly texting, but our pediatrician uses an awesome app called PingMD that allows you to message the doctor, send pictures, ask questions, etc. I love it - has saved us so many visits for harmless little rashes!

Wow, that's great! Our vet emails and my GP just started emailing through an online forum. I wish more doctors would do this as to be more accessible. If I call I really get filtered through the nurses...

I have before when LO was hospitalized...our general ped just wanted to check up on me.

I never have, I always call the office line, however if it were an emergency I could call/text my OB.

I've spoken to my OB on the phone only once. The other 100+ times have been through whatsapp.

I can barely get through to my doctors office when I call them, so text would definitely be out of the question!

@SeptMomma12: oh that is really cool! @Greentea: I emailed my ob a few times while pregnant for general, non urgent questions and he always got back to me within the day, it was really nice!

I can text and Facebook my midwife, I love it because I hate calling and it's really good for those random questions that aren't urgent.

Not text, but I can at least email my ND. She often takes a little while to respond, and once didn't respond at all though (but it wasn't an important question).

I don't but somehow DH has a text relationship with his doctor and dentist. I think it's weird.
