Yeah he's not bad! Usually he will grab a few random things, but he remembers most things that he's been told!
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
Yep! He used to have trouble in the beginning do we started going together. Now he knows where everything is and I can send him with a list and he almost always gets the right thing
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
He tends to not look at labels and end up with the wrong thing. We call him the absent minded professor!

He is WAY better than me, remember to get everything on the list, doesn't do any add ons. I buy everything I see. Not so great to the budget.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4007 posts
Yes but he always comes back with extras. Last time it was the new Oreos that have a layer of regular cream and a layer of chocolate cream ! ONE COOKIE was a serving and had 100 calories
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
ABout 90% of the time. Sometimes he ends up buying the wrong thing though.
pomelo / 5178 posts
@BabyBoecksMom: Me too! That's why DH and DD do the majority of our grocery shopping
honeydew / 7589 posts
No, he often forgets items or gets the wrong one because he doesn't read the labels carefully. Also he doesn't know where anything is in the store, so he ends up calling me asking "Where is the butter? I can't find the butter!"
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
If I give him a very specific, detailed, organized list he'll come home with about half the stuff I wanted, lol.
persimmon / 1205 posts
Nope! Well, in all fairness he does an ok job, but he always gets the wrong stuff or the wrong brand. This week he came home with fat free half and half. How does that even happen? Seems unnatural to me. lol
watermelon / 14206 posts
I don't think he'd even be willing to try lol. He's got zero interest on grocery shopping lol.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
Yes, he generally knows better what I need than I do and if he has any questions, he calls. Usually we just go to the store together.
coconut / 8861 posts
I take pics on phone and send them to him of specific products. He comes home with way more impulse purchases than I do.
kiwi / 603 posts
He's getting better but still makes some mistakes. It's so cute though because he gets so stressed he'll get the wrong thing. It's hard to get mad hen he tries so hard!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
No! He buys all the expensive and not on sale things!!
pineapple / 12793 posts
He's OK. The last time I sent him out for flour he came back with flowers. Romantic, yes, helpful not really.
honeydew / 7444 posts
@oliviaoblivia: Too cute!!
DH will get the right things, but sometimes he'll get produce that is subpar (quality wise) just because it's on the list. I now have to tell him that if it looks gross, don't get it!
pomelo / 5789 posts
No way!
He will get the right items but the wrong brand or wrong kind.
We use european butter. He got Land of the lakes spreadable so it would go on our toast easier.
We use vine or plum tomatoes. He bought Roma tomatoes.
I asked for baking powder, he brings baking soda.
Now i email him a list at work with pictures and specifics.
Example: daisy brand cottage cheese 4% small curd.
Haha

He is FAR better than me. I get distracted and buy crap we don't need.
persimmon / 1453 posts
Yes, no problem. But he always comes home with junky stuff too! It drives me nuts when he returns with soda and ramen noodles mixed in with the organic kale and kombucha...
clementine / 828 posts
@oliviaoblivia: lol! That's pretty sweet
DH has free reign to buy whatever he wants when grocery shopping because he does the majority of the cooking.
pomelo / 5789 posts
@Minnie_Girl: lol. We always end up with some kind of gross sugary candy with whatever I sent him for. lately its been nerds
coconut / 8475 posts
He needs a list (with brand names and sizes) but other than that he's good.
nectarine / 2765 posts
He's actually quite good! He has been doing all the grocery shopping lately and so long as I give him specifics (size, brand, sometimes shoving it in front of his face while telling him to "memorize this!") he always gets it perfectly.
nectarine / 2504 posts
I say bring home cucumbers and he will bring home zucchinis. Freakin fail!!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
Maybe? He is getting better with buying things on sale.
pomegranate / 3580 posts
Yes, but unfortunately he also comes home with a lot of extra stuff!
pomelo / 5820 posts
He's pretty good but he always sneaks in extra snacks/junk food that I wouldn't buy!
honeydew / 7687 posts
No and he calls with questions which is nice but its easier to just go myself!
persimmon / 1436 posts
He is usually pretty good! Sometimes he'll admit he bought the "regular" apples instead of the organic ones because he just thinks they are ridiculously over-priced, but he knows that's the one thing I'm kind of particular on! Oh well, I'm lucky he will do the shopping at all And I'm right there with you @babyboecksmom: I'm usually the one who will completely forget an item or two (even if it's on the list)!
@oliviaoblivia: that made me laugh out loud! So funny and sweet
honeydew / 7916 posts
He's pretty good; I list brand names and he gets everything right. He even got 100% at the Korean market (he's not Korean) and threw in a bonus kimbap.
