As in, public places...restaurants, cart in the store, on the beach etc.
We were just at a restaurant and there was a little boy, about 3 that was sleeping on his dad's shoulder all during the wait and while his family ate. That kid was OUT, that would never happen with my girls.
Can your LO sleep anywhere?

She won't nap around crowds unless I am wearing her. Also she won't nap around food.

Yep! If it's naptime and we're not home she'll still sleep.

LOLZ. Noooo. I wish! He would sleep in the Ergo until he was about 5 months ish (he's 12 months now). Has NEVER slept in the stroller (but doesn't really like riding in the stroller). Will sleep in the car seat on a long car trip if he's EXHAUSTED (like up for hours) but that's about it.
Because of this I feel like we are a slave to the nap schedule and getting home at nap/bedtime!

100% no! Sometimes on a walk in the carrier, but I haven't tried that in a while. She'll skip the second nap (her choice, not for lack of trying) if we're away from home. I created a good sleep environment at home? Also gets upset if I try to shove her in her pack and play at a different house.
@MrsADS: I'm also a slave to the naps with my 10 month old. I don't go out usually....

If by anywhere you mean in a dark room in a bed, specifically her bedroom and bed, then yes. Hahah no, neither can sleep anywhere but their beds or the baby carrier and only if they're really tired .

Hahaha. My initial thought was anywhere= in a pack and play with the room darkened and white noise on. So your definition? No!
My 8 month old will sleep in a pck and play away from home at least, which is better than big sister was. But neither she nor my 3 year old would ever fall asleep in a situation like that! Meltdown city.
They will both sleep in the car though.

100% no. DD has fallen asleep spontaneously in public exactly one time since she was a baby and she is almost 3 (we went to NYC and she fell asleep using DH's head as a pillow while riding his shoulders- it was hilarious). She doesn't even really fall asleep on the couch- only in a bed. I miss those days of anywhere naps!
