DH and I are on vacation in Canada (Ontario) without the girls this week. Besides some sort of present, I'd love to take back some "Canadian" candies or biscuits/cookies that we couldn't get in the US. Any suggestions of favorites?

I'm not sure what you can't get in the US anymore. Smarties? (Chocolate. Different from your Smarties) Cadbury's chocolate bars - is Crunchie Canadian? Maple cookies or maple sugar candy is pretty Canadian. I think we tend to differ more in chip flavours, maybe some poutine flavoured chips (or the more standard "weird Canadian flavours" of ketchup, dill pickle, or all dressed). You could try Nanaimo bars or buttertarts but they're squares/pastries so might be more difficult, depending on how you're travelling (you might have to eat those ones yourself). The internet tells me you don't have Coffee Crisps or Caramilks in the US? Oh, and KinderEggs!

@erinbaderin: thanks!!!DH is in London a lot, so we have a steady flow of Cadbury's DairyMilk bars but the rest (Crunchie etc.) are definitely not things my girls have had before! Caramilk sounds especially yum! We are driving so anything goes!

I'm a Canadian bee who's been living in the US for 15 years and this post got me drooling. Definitely Coffee Crisp, all dressed and ketchup chips, and Smarties as PPs mentioned. Also, Fudgee-Os! Basically an oreo type sandwich cookie but all chocolate. MMMMMMMM
