I know you can't put a big puffy jacket on a LO in their carseat- but is this acceptable? Or too much? Not sure what to put him in to keep him warm when it starts snowing and stuff!

i think that'd be okay! we have a similar patagonia fleece that is our "car coat" and seems to not be too bunchy like his puffy coat.

Fleece is perfectly fine since it's already compressed. The puffy coats that compress when you squeeze them are the problem.

The best way to tell is to strap them in wearing the coat, then take them out without loosening the straps, and put them back in. If you don't have to tighten, then it's ok.

I think that's totally fine. We have a similar coat and he wears it while in his carseat.

We've been using a very similar fleece coat in the car. I think it's fine.
I'm glad to see others say the same thing though - I had been meaning to ask the group!

I was going to say what @tinyperson: did. That is the only real way to test it.

@cheert16: We have this jacket and I do let him wear it in his carseat. I haven't done the test though...
