We will be moving from Massachusetts to Florida in early March, and are contemplating all driving in our car with our 9 month old (originally I was going to fly down with him separately).

If any of you have made the trip, the ride is about 24 hours (1,300 miles). My brother is planning on coming as well, so there will be two drivers at all times, and I can sit in the back to entertain LO.

So, we currently still only have an infant car seat which we planned on keeping for the time being because it's too cold to be moving LO in and out of the car this winter. However, since we're moving to a warmer state, we think we can go ahead and think about a convertible car seat.

More importantly, I was wondering if I should buy the new car seat to have for our trip down - to make the ride more comfortable for LO.

Do you think LO will be more comfortable in a long car ride in an infant car seat, or convertible? Thoughts?
