@MrsCB: DH was a trooper and drove the whole time. He did great driving on the left side in St. Lucia where the roads were WAY windier and scary so Barbados seemed easy in comparison! Except all those damn traffic circles - took a while to get used to those.
@illumina: Ooh you've been too?? Where did you stay?
I have pics at home to upload This will date me but i traveled to some of my favorite/most beautiful destinations.. before digital cameras were invented. Yeah. Have to scan those pics but for now I'll keep it more recent

It's hard to choose just 1! So I will post a few. The beaches of the carribbean are so pretty but they look similar. St Thomas, St Croix, St Lucia, Antigua, Nassau, Lucaya are all beautiful.
1. Cenote in Rural Mexico
2. Cancun Bali Beds
3. Flying over the Andes
4. Macchu Picchu
5. El Yungue Rainforest

Oh my gosh. These photos are all gorgeous.
The most beautiful place I've travelled was definitely Hawaii. Oahu to be exact. I drove around the whole island and it's just all gorgeous!
Kahana Valley was by far my favourite beach. Your feet didn't sink into the sand, just left perfect foot prints, and it was also quite shallow so you could walk out for quite a ways into the ocean without any sudden dips!

OMG these photos are all so gorgeous! Now I'm itching to travel & wishing I was better at taking photos!
This is from our honeymoon in Jamaica.

Our honeymoon in Australia! The first pic is from the cliff walk near Tamarama Beach outside of Sydney and the second is the view from the lobby of our hotel near Port Douglas in Far North Queensland. The pictures do not do it justice.

Such gorgeous places you all have traveled. I would love to travel more. Maui would have to be the most beautiful place I've been. Especially the Hana coast. Just gorgeous.
@Happygal: big sur is just stunning.

@prettylizy: I loved Ocho Rios! We went to Dunn's river falls... didn't climb, but it looked like so much fun!
@TheSwissWifeStyle: I'm sure we'll get there someday... I've met lots of Filipinos whilst travelling in Asia and they are so kind and funny
@MamaMoose: I love the whole of the Amalfi coast! We usually have the rule never to go back to the same place (because there is so much of the World to see) but we've been back to Sorrento a couple of times. I love Capri and Positano!
@yellowbird: Costa Rica is on my list too!
@PurplePumps: You've been to lots of super destinations! Looking forward to going to Switzerland this summer.
@JoJoGirl: In Barbados? We were on a cruise ship, so we were only there for 2 days and 1 night. Yay, upload more when you get home! My first trip to Asia I only had a film camera... would love to have had digital copies of Vietnam and Angkor Wat.
@Happygal: I know! Isn't it just stunning!
@wheres_c: Jealous of Macchu Picchu.. bet it's a wonderful experience!
@.twist.: I loved Oahu! We did the same and rented a car.. I loved the less touristy beaches on the north coast like Waimea.
@MrsKoala: I spent a week in Sydney and walked the Bondi to Coogee walk several times. There was a sculptures by the sea art exhibit when I was there.. your photo reminded me of this:

@illumina: Yea!! the less touristy beaches were amazing. The photo I posted above of Kahana Valley, that beach was dead! I think there was one other person their (a local with their dog!) while I was there. It was seriously a little piece of paradise.

@.twist.: They were all quiet apart from Waimea where this was going on...lol.

These are not my pictures (I kind of stink at being a photog), but the most beautiful places I've been are:
The Blue Grotto in Capri. Italy
Sorento, Italy
The Church of Spilled Blood in St. Petersburg, Russia. I love mosiacs and every inch of this place is covered. It's breathtaking!
papaya / 10570 posts
@Shutterbug: That very beach, the beach by the Mayan ruins in Tulum is the most beautiful place I've visited too!!

Hmmm, so many, but this has to be one of them. Erawan falls in western Thailand. Just one tier of seven, and we hiked all the way up:

These were taken on our honeymoon at the Jalousie Plantation (now Sugar Beach Resort) in St lucia. The first is a view of the beach an one of the pitons and the other is of the thatched roof tree houses that the spa is located in. They are in the rainforest and connected by wooden walkways between trees. Each treatment room is in a different tree house, so amazing to have a massage and be able to listen to tree frogs right outside the room and take a dip into a fresh hot spring!

We honeymoon in Italy (Rome, Venice, and Florence). I love all of them as they were unique in their own ways.
Costa Rica and Belize
1. Belize-coco plum island-2 pictures
2. Costa Rica-volcano was breath taking
3. Venice (buildings surrounded by water), Florence (Dumo-incredible architecture of a building), and the ceiling in the Vatican (amazing-glow like gold). Rome-Vatican ceiling and colosseum

@zippylef: ahh Nice! The whole of the French Riviera is so pretty... though I'll have to go back as I was 16 when I went and I can't remember everything!
@Penny Lane: so so SO jealous! I would love to make it to NZ someday!
@petunia354: umm your honeymoon sounds just amazing!!

@MrsCB: I'm from St. Lucia and we spent our first anniversary in Barbados! We dined at that same place for our anniversary! Cafe Luna at Little Arches Hotel right?

This may be my favorite thread ever!
Yes, I gotta agree about Sorrento, Italy and Lucerne, Switzerland.
One of my favorites is also San Juan Island, Washington
Boo, those aren't uploading, but here's a Sedona one that makes me happy too!

Love this thread! Can't believe I missed it the first time around! It is virtually impossible for me to pick just one for the most beautiful place I've travelled to, so you're getting my top five (sorry for the gratuitous over share of pictures!)
1. Franz Josef glacier - South Island of New Zealand
2. Tiger Leaping Gorge - Yunnan province, China
3. Samburu National Park - Kenya
4. Mostar, Bosnia (devastated by the war in 1993 but still beautiful)
5. St Basil's Cathedral - Moscow, Russia
Ok, I lied, I have a top six, not five.
6. Sognefjorden - from Flam to Bergen, Norway
pineapple / 12566 posts
I have been to some beautiful places, it's hard to pick just one. But for natural scenery, I would say Thailand and Hawaii. The first one is of islands surrounding Ko Lanta in Thailand and the second is Waipo Valley on the Big Island of Hawaii.
