During the summer of 2005, I noticed that my right hand/wrist fell asleep a lot more than usual. The pain soon followed. I went to my doctor and was told it was carpal tunnel, likely caused by waitressing (I was chopping/prepping foods daily). I was given a splint/brace to wear for a couple weeks and have been fine ever since.

In the last couple weeks, it's all started back up. Same as before. My hand/wrist was falling asleep more than usual. Then the tingles and numbness started. This week it's gotten worse. I notice it when I'm putting my makeup on in the morning. At work, the tingles and numbness moves up my arm. It's 11:15am and I already feel it up to my forearm.

Luckily I still have the splint/brace at my parents and my mom is mailing it to me. In the meantime, I'm wondering if there's anything else I can do to help. A friend recommended some stretching exercises (forward/backward stretches basically). Ibuprofen hasn't seemed to help. Unfortunately, I'm at a computer all day which is only making things worse.
