Do you use some kind of teething pads on your carrier straps? C is teething and likes chewing on the straps of my dark brown Beco Gemini. It leaves a mark where you can see where she drooled, which is sort of gross, but whatever. However, yesterday it was so wet the color rubbed off on her shirt. I actually never washed the carrier since the instructions said not to wash it too often, and it was made in the USA so I was less worried about random chemicals (naively, maybe?). So, I'm going to wash it tonight to take care of the drool stains and hopefully help with the color rubbing off.
However, I'd rather have her chewing on something I can wash easily. They sell drool pads for $19, but that seems silly. Any recommendations on cheap ones to buy, or how to DIY with a blanket or washcloth or something? I am moderately crafty and do not have a sewing machine.
