I'm starting to do these more because I have some bad low back pain and it seems to help. Quick Q: How long do you hold each position? 10 seconds? Want to make sure I get the most benefit out of these. Thanks!

I don't do yoga, but is this the pose you do on your hands and knees?
I did them once in a while when I was pregnant.. probably held the pose for about 15 secs

@chopsuey119: Yes it's the hands and knees one - you arch your back up (like a cat!) and then stick your belly out (like a cow). It's pretty comfy!

It is so comfy! I do it when I have back or butt pain and it feels so good!! Oh but I'm no help on how long. Haha! I just do it until I feel better!

Also wondering how many to do! I usually do it for a few minutes straight and it helps. But, I'm no Yogi!

In my prenatal yoga class we do these matched with breaths. Like you inhale into cat and then drop into cow as you exhale. So you aren't holding the poses really at all, but more rolling between them smoothly.
