DS has been ALMOST sleeping through the night- but now when he wakes up, he's been totally soaked through everything- diaper, pjs, sleep sack, and sometimes even his crib sheet.
What do you cloth diaper mamas do for overnight so this doesn't happen? We use Bum Genius 4.0 Pocket Diapers...

I have to admit that we have the same problem and we do disposables because of it..... I figure if he wears one a day that isn't too bad.

We use Charlie Banana pocket diapers stuffed with a premium sized prefold. I buy him the sized ones so they fit better than OS.
Other ideas would be to try a hemp/organic cotton insert instead of the microfiber, which isn't the most absorbent. A lot of people also use a fitted diaper with a cover on top. Or you could add a wool cover on top of what you are already using.

We use Rearz fitteds with an extra hemp insert (DD is a pretty heavy wetter) covered with a Thirsties cover. Only "leak" we've ever had was because DH didn't pull the cover up high enough & the fitted was peaking through.
If you want to just try out fitteds Babysteals still has them available in their archive!!! I actually just ordered the next size DD needs a couple days ago! 5 fitteds for 50 bucks & I'm really pleased with how they've worked & held up!

Are your diapers sized or one-size? DS started leaking like that when he outgrew his size (it physically fit, but didn't have enough absorbency). We switched from newborn to OS diapers & use a hemp insert, as well as the regular insert for overnight. He very rarely leaks now. I think when he starts sleeping longer stretches, we'll use two hemp inserts instead of one hemp/one regular.

Double stuffed microfibre inserts into BG's or FB's! We're just in the small's right now.

Bamboo fitted with a cover. I find that fitteds (with covers) are the most well-loved night time solution.

Oh I've heard RAR pockets are a good nighttime solution too if you're wanting a pocket. We get alot of leaks out the leg & compression leaks (mf insert) if DD wears a pocket to bed so that's why we switched to the fitteds, but I hear the double leg gussets with the RAR helps avoid that.

@autumnlove: I guess? I put the two inserts in but it makes the diaper huge- does your LO mind?
We occasionally get little leg leaks, but I think that's due to not getting the insert in the pocket straight or not getting the diaper on straight. The times we have leaky diapers at night, the insert is just soaked with pee. Hmmm, may have to order some hemp inserts to try them out- any recommendations for good brands?

@Pink Champagne: The diapers don't seem that bulky to me anymore (LO is almost 11 months)....her butt looked sooo big when the diapers were snapped to the smallest settings for the first few months!

I just put extra cloth in. I have tried sposies and they'd leak overnight too. And then tried fitteds and it was so big I couldn't get the cover over it right (even though I thought it was) so that leaked, too.
And now that he isn't nursing 6 times a night he doesn't pee as much and just a regular diaper with double cloth is perfect. -
Double stuff, or I just use disposables overnight. I love not having to spray out a diaper when I'm all bleary in the morning.
