Ellie is almost two months totally aggression free. And she had another excellent day at school today. AND she is making her own comic book series. I just felt like celebrating her so much today because she is really making so many wonderful strides these days.

And, she was one of only five kids in her class who are participating in the Accelerated Reading program! She is reading chapter books all by herself. I got treated to listening to her read because they were in Lorelei's room with the monitor on. It was so amazing to hear her interact with Lorelei. She didn't know I was listening, but she played with her and read to her. I just sat on a chair and watched them for about 20 minutes before they had to come down for supper. Mr. T joined me. Best 20 minutes of "screen time" of my life!

@deerylou: That's probably the best part-- she does really seem to be getting so much positive self-worth out of her hard work. She went from feeling pretty yucky a lot of the time to being able to see more good things about herself.

@Katrocap: Her school has been nothing short of amazing. They are so dedicated to working with her, and have really been nothing but professional, caring, and helpful. I had considered homeschooling, but her school "Team" has done wonders for her. I know we wouldn't be doing as well as we are were it not for them.

@mrs.twine: It's great to hear that her school team is so supportive. I work in an elementary school and across the hall from my room is the program for students who are emotionally disturbed / have major ADHD or ODD. I know what an accomplishment it is for them to be aggression-free for two months!
