Anyone else worried about using their cell phones near the baby? I am always on baby connect, facebook, pinterest, email, whatever....when I'm nursing. But, lately, I feel like I should stop --especially, in light of the Yale study conducted on pregnant mice. They are growing so much in their first year and from what I've read, babies absorb radiation at 10x the rate of adults. Anyone else concerned?

I don't use my phone that much to begin with, but I especially don't use my computer or cell phone while my son is eating. I was pretty strict about this in the beginning, esp. with my husband, who can be on his phone constantly.

I personally wouldn't use a cell phone while nursing because I think that is too close to the baby.

DH sent me the mouse article right after I got pregnant. It freaked me out a little, as I spend lots of time on my phone, though no where as near as much as the mice in the study. I ended up buying a Pong case: http://www.pongresearch.com/
They're designed to reduce radiation exposure. It sounds wacky, but the science is pretty sound- a number of outside groups have tested their claims.

My husband is always on my to keep the phone away from our son, especially his head. I try to be good about it, but it's hard since I usually look at stuff on it when I'm feeding him.

ok so I've never heard this... weird!!
ALTHOUGH when I was pregnant this last winter I wore a bunch of zip up hoodies and always had my phone in the front pocket, so basically right on my baby bump. My husband said that I shouldn't keep it there because it could make our son have a brain tumor later in life. I thought he was kidding until my MIL said "better safe than sorry, you never know." This was over 30 weeks along! For the rest of my pregnancy I didn't put it in my pocket anymore.

@Coco Bee: I realized the same thing when pregnant! I would take walks and just bring my phone so I started just carrying the phone in my hand instead of putting it in my pocket.
