Anyone use anything other than Annie Sloan chalk paint/wax? We only have one vender in my town and it's nowhere near me, I was hoping someone has had some luck with another brand? If so where did you get it!

We just got a can from home depot. Don't even recall the brand just grabbed it from the shelf, it worked great!

@Autumnmama79: I'll look there, I really don't' want to drive 35 minutes across town for paint so I'll give them a try first! I'm trying to decide on color now, did they have a lot to choose from? I can't decide if I should go "fun" with a bright color for a statement piece or a chalky black which is what would be "smartest" ha.

@LuLu Mom: It's not chalk paint but ends up being a similar texture when dry, check out General Finishes Milk Paint. Most woodworking stores / unfinished wood stores have it in the store if there is one of those near you. I've loved working with it!

I'm currently doing a project with Americana Decor chalk paint. You can get it at Home Depot, Michael's and I think some other places. I really like it! The wax is super easy to use, too. If you look up the brand on Pinterest, there are a ton of reviews.
