Do you buy your LO a lot of character clothing and/or shoes? I will buy them some things, like pajamas, and some shirts but since their phases go so fast I don't overdo it with everything character. I was never a fan of character shoes, but just got LO2 a pair of Frozen tennis shoes for $11 I just couldn't pass up, and she was SO excited. So my answer overall is, yes I do!

No on shoes. But I'll buy her a t shirt if she really wants it. The most significant character stuff we have is dress up costumes.
ETA: Actually, we do have the Mini Melissa Mary Janes with Minnie and Mickey on them.

Mostly just jammies. Some shirts that aren't over the top. I will do socks too if they don't show. But her Paw Patrol panties are her favorite.

Nope. Well, we have one Thomas shirt, but we got it as a souvenir when we went to Day Out With Thomas.

I've gotten a few things. He has some Snoopy pajamas, an R2-D2 tee shirt, and a classic Mickey sweatshirt.
I only buy super neutral shoes, so I wouldn't get any with characters on them.

LO picked out a pair of Paw Patrol shoes last summer. He literally would not try on another pair. He didn't even know the characters at the time.
He has some character t-shirts of characters he loves and gets excited about wearing them. His coming home from the hospital outfit was a Superman onesie so I guess we have always done them.
Character clothing doesn't bother me, but I don't buy tshirts with writing on them. I hate all the sassy attitude sayings that are on some kids clothing.

Interesting! I prefer doing character shoes (because they're small) and staying away from characters for shirts. I'll do whatever for PJs (if it satisfies his commercialistic tendencies and I can put him in something else for the day, I call it a win). I will do an occasional shirt, but I'd say only 2 of the 20ish shirts in his drawer right now are characters.

Shirts, undies, costumes and pjs. No on shoes. Eta- LO 1 has some Hello Kitty rain boots from Costco. No on regular shoes

No on shoes. She has a pair of silver jelly Mary Janes from ON and I told her those are her Frzoen shoes
She has lots of character panties and few pairs of pjs. We're going on a Disney cruise so I got her some character dresses/outfits for that, too.

Mainly underwear and she has a pair of Peppa pj's that she loves.

No on regular clothes and shoes- I just have never liked that style and DD never really asks for character shirts or dresses. The one exception is she desperately wants Disney princess underwear so they will be her reward for no more pullups. We do have some character PJs and princess dressup clothes.

So far (at 18 months) we don't have character anything. I'm trying to avoid it for as long as possible because I prefer things to be simple.
Like many of you, I also dislike writing on shirts and graphic tees in general. We have a lot of solid colors, stripes, and cute patterns.

I don't love charachters clothing. My MIL buys lots of it, so I told her the school has a policy against it!
so now she limits what she buys to pjs and undies.We do have Minnie shirts for Disney trips.

I really don't like them. My girls have some Frozen socks/undies/hair bows and Dora undies, none of which were purchased by me - I try to stick them on the bottom of the pile.

Undies and PJs and the PJs were only because I let her pick them. If someone were to gift us character clothing I wouldn't care and I would let them wear it, but I don't really like buying it and it's more expensive than comparable non character pieces.

Lots! My son loves it. The other day he got a batman shirt and he made me rip off the tag right away so he could wear it (and we bought his 4 month brother a matching onesie!). I figure they are only little once so why not let him have clothes he enjoys?

I tried not to for a long time but when she became a toddler, she started only wanting to wear character clothes (which my dad always buys for her). So we went through a phase of it. Now that she's in a preschool where character clothes are not allowed, it is actually easier. We only have undies now.

We had some Frozen underpants but they were crappy quality so I tossed them. No characters in our house anymore.

Most are without, but we do have some tees, undies, play clothes with characters. They aren't my favorite but they make my kiddo happy, so why not.

@catlady: I haven't heard this before--what is the reason for not having character clothes at school? They only don't let the kids bring weapons for show and tell at ours.

Some, but only the ones I don't think are annoying. She has a bunch of avengers and star wars stuff, and one my little pony shirt. She doesn't like tv/movies so she doesn't really know characters a lot of kids do. We just get her what we like lol.

She's got a few things, tee shirts and socks, mostly. I don't mind it, but so far she's just as excited by things she thinks are "pretty" as characters.

None. I'm not a fan! But she doesn't know any characters yet (save Elmo from books) so we haven't had to cross this bridge yet.

My kid is currently wearing a Disney tutu and a Belle shirt under her Princess Sofia costume. She will only wear princess related clothing.
She's definitely my twin. (If I could get away with it, I would totally wear matching pink glitter tutus with her!) -
We have very little character stuff, but he's not that old yet. I wore what I wanted as a kid, so I will probably let him wear what he wants.

I try to avoid it since I really dislike it. I've personally bought underwear (Mickey) and a hat. My in-laws, on the other hand, buy him shirts (Thomas, Mickey, Elmo). I wish they wouldn't, but I just keep them in the daycare extra clothing bin!

Omg I hate it!!! But at the same time my daughter loves it. So I let her pick some clothes out and she wears them around the house or for pjs and some rare occasions out of the house.

She has one character shirt, all character undies, and I'm making her a Paw Patrol dress for her birthday parties. I didn't want to do character bedding, but she picked it out and loves it. I just made sure she got a nice, solid comforter that coordinates and I don't have to look at the sheets. Oh, and she has a Hello Kitty rain jacket, but it's adorable.

Yes, but mostly because it is hard to avoid. He has a couple tshirts, most of his underwear, some socks and pj's with characters. He has cars shoes but that is only because they are hand me downs.

Yes but only when they are old enough to care or want it. Mostly it is Thomas. I think they both have 2 short and 2 long sleeve Thomas shirts and a sweatshirt. There are also other random character things too. I swore up and down when LO1 was a baby and my in-laws bought everything Mickey that my kids would never wear character stuff. But now, if it makes them happy and willing to get dressed, I don't care!

My kids only have a few character shirts, but I let them go wild with character underwear. No shoes because I prefer certain brands.
