Charlotte bees, what's some must - see points of interest and must - eat restaurants?
I'm headed to Charlotte this weekend for a wedding. A breakfast spot, dinner spot, and day time activity suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I don't live in Charlotte but my in-laws do! We always visit two restaurants when we visit: Cabo Fish Taco and Cowfish. Cabo has amazing fish tacos and margaritas. It has a fun atmosphere and the staff has been great the times we went. Apparently the area where it is located is an interesting place to walk around, but we've never done it.
Cowfish is a sushi and burger restaurant. They also sell "burgushi" which is sushi with a twist (they have a pulled pork roll for example).
My in-laws walked us around downtown (they call it Uptown though) and that was kinda fun, but I think the area by Cabo Fish Taco might be more interesting. They do have the Nascar Hall of Fame in Uptown if that sort of thing interests you.

If you need a late night eating place- like maybe after the wedding if your as hungry as I usually am leaving them- or a great breakfast spot, go to highway diner. It's cheap, 24 hours, the staff is amazing and the food is even better.
Mert's is great soul food. Revolution Pizza is excellent. Chima, which a Brazilian steakhouse downtown, is pricey but some of the best food I've ever eaten. Amelie's bakery is a 24hr coffee shop and French bakery with ridiculously awesome desserts.
There's a modern art museum, a history museum, and if you're huge dorks like me and my husband there's a childrens science museum that's a lot of fun to go through even without children. Just walking around is honestly a lot of fun, it's a really nice city.

The US National Whitewater Center is a really cool place with tons of fun things to do. We actually had our wedding there. They also have a really good restaurant where you can sit, and watch people whitewater raft or kayak.

@lauraeabel: last night we ate at Mert's, and had pie for an extra early breakfast.
@NCSUchick27: that looks fun. We are ill-prepared for the cold though.

There's lot of places uptown that are great to eat at.
Concord Mills mall is pretty great, also there's an ikea. There's a nature museum also that's pretty nice.
