@ckbr: I would continue to BD EOD until you see a rise that stays up for at least a few days, indicating ovulation. That's the good thing about charting. There is a chance that you won't ovulate again this month, but you just never know. And from a quick Google search it looks like people in Canada buy them from ebay to keep the cost low. You can supposedly get them from amazon.ca but they're a lot more expensive.

my chart has been wacky this month! Temps rise and fall every few days. I have no idea what is going on. I felt sharp cramps friday night that I thought might have been implantation. My temp dropped below my coverage line today and its way to early for Af. I've been moody ass hell. DH even looked at me and said wtf last night... I'm on progesterone supplements CD 16-25. Could that be causing these temp shifts? This is my second cycle using the supplements & last cycle seemed normalish.

Can you take a look at my chart, please!

@Sugar.Biscuit: So it appears that you O'd, but the progesterone could be artificially raising your temps (and probably causing the moodiness). Sorry its so confusing! Have you had your thyroid tested? I found that my temps were more wacky when my thyroid level wasn't great.

    nectarine / 2063 posts

@Mrs.Someone: They tested thyroid when they tested my progesterone & it was normal. This was the only thing "off" from what they tested. If I get a BFN this cycle I'm calling my DR. office and request having more extensive test done to check our fertility.

    pomelo / 5228 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: Do you know what the exact TSH level was? Its supposed to be between 1-2 for fertility. Some doctors use an old scale of 1-5.

  6. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

@Mrs.Someone: I have no idea all the nurse said was every thing was normal except the progesterone. I might call and request a copy of the test results. It would be interesting to see anyways.

    pomelo / 5228 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: Yep, its always a good idea to get the test results, especially if you ever need to see a different doctor.

@Sugar.Biscuit: I'd say there's a chance you ovulated on cd 12, but given that your opk was negative, we'll trust the cd 14. Have you tried comparing your chart to others in the gallery and seeing if any have a common issue? It's likely just a normal cycle that didn't work though. Since you got AF so early it may be that your luteal phase is shortening. I think some girls take a b vitamin to help extend that. It might be worth a try.

  9. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

@marionberry: my first post may have been misleading. AF hasn't started yet. Maybe the dip was a flook? Guess the only way to really tell is wait.

  10. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: You never know. It could always be a late implantation dip. We'll have to see what happens with your temps tomorrow.

@Vegmama: I was taking a look at friend's charts this morning and it looks like you finally ovulated. Yeah! Although I would have thought your date would be later than CD 13.....maybe more like CD 24? Your temps look like they're doing some good climbing.

  12. Vegmama

@Happygal: Of course, after I posted here, I finally ovulated. I was actually hopping on here to get the consensus about my O date (thinking CD 23 or 24). I know I can override FF. Also, I'm so frustrated I ovulated so late this month. Ohhhh, our crazy bodies!!

    pomelo / 5000 posts

@Vegmama: did FF place you at 13? If so, I'm guessing it did so due to the EWCM listed on CD 12. Take that away and see what happends!

  14. Vegmama

    pear / 1799 posts

@Happygal: Bingo! And, I'm not a CM expert, so it was possible it wasn't EW. Now, it's saying cd 26, which I think is wrong, but that's okay ... I'm going with CD 23. Thank you!!!

    grapefruit / 4703 posts

@VEGMAMA: based only on your temps I think FF is right at day 26. That's when your temp goes up .4 degrees. Either way, happy TWW!

  16. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@VEGMAMA: I could put your date at 24 or 27. Sometimes my temps didn't shift that much right away. In fact on my IUI cycle it looked similar to yours starting at 24. I'd keep it with 27 but you might be able to test a little earlier with a chance of o at cd 24. Best of luck!

@Mrs.Someone: @marionberry: temps went back up again today. This cycle is SO confusing! I keep having dreams where I get a BFP, I wake up test and BFN! This morning I had a stupid evap line. I wish I would have kept my pee so I could have retested.

I looked at other charts like mine and didn't find much other than I'm not the only one with a chart like this.

  18. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: wow today's looks good! If you have a cheap test try this afternoon. Otherwise try again tomorrow. Why are you sure it's an evap line? Is it a blue dye test?

  19. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

@marionberry: it was red dye. I could see where the line was, line a shadow but there was no color... that's an evap right?

@Sugar.Biscuit: Not to get your hopes up, but I wonder if that's an implantation dip? If so, you would probably see a faint positive tomorrow. Good luck :).

  21. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

@MrsCB: I feel like I did before my MC. My little walnut type feeling is there again so I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I think your right.

  22. ShootingStar

    coconut / 8472 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: 9DPO is the most common day for implantation :). I got my positive 3 days after I had intense implantation cramps, but it was a light line.

  23. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: pink dye tests don't usually have evap lines. I agree about possible implantation. Definitely test tomorrow.

  24. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

@MrsCB: @marionberry: I took a pic after the test time was over, when there was a more obvious line and tweeked the photo a little. If you can even see the line it might look pink in the photo but I can tell you irl its not.

  25. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

Sorry the pic is HUGE! I wish I knew how to fix that!

  26. ShootingStar

    coconut / 8472 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: Did you see the line before the time was up? I find that ALL tests are easier to see and have more visible lines after they've dried a little.

  27. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

@MrsCB: I saw it before & after. It was more obvious after.

  28. Mrs.Someone

@Sugar.Biscuit: I'm cautiously optimistic for you! Looking good

  29. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

@Mrs.Someone: good way to put it. I called the DR and they said a second line reguardless if its an evap or not they want to test. Eeeek! I love my new DRs office! We will find out soon if its positive & they will do a hormone level too.

Negitive. I'm so frustrated with myself & my body. My boobs are huge & hurt, I've had random cramps & mood swings. I have another appointment tomorrow to talk about taking a more indepth look at our infertility to figure out why its happening!

Any words of advice on what to ask for? A specialist we should try? Etc?

  33. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: I don't know enough about your background to suggest much. Have you seen an RE yet? They are fabulous and I definitely recommend them. If you're sticking with an OB for now, has your DH done any SA's to rule out any issues on his side? Have you had your thyroid checked or any of the other hormones? Both of those can be significant issues. An HSG can be ordered to check for issues in the fallopian tubes too. I don't see any real clear issue in your charts. Very sorry about the negative though!

  34. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

@marionberry: thyroid was good 1.5. I'm still with my GP. He is new to me and has fairly good knowledge of fertility & specializes in the creighton method. My husband has not been tested yet & I hope he wants to do a lab on him friday cause we are both off that morning.

I'm of fair health. Over weight & just quit smoking (yes I know this can be a factor). I just want to know that if we are or are not fertile.

@Sugar.Biscuit: It sounds like asking for a semen analysis is a great next step then. Best of luck!

@Vegmama: we're friends on FF, right? Did you know you can change your user name on FF so it's not a random string of numbers and letters?

Also, I just realized a new feature on FF that I really like....if there is a member's chart that is interesting to me for some reason, I can click on it and see all the submitted charts for that member.

  37. Vegmama

    pear / 1799 posts

@Happygal: Thanks for that info! I changed my name!! I tried the other charts thing, and it's for paying members only. Booo.

If I were TTC this month, my chart would be exciting me right now ... UP UP UP. I POAS this morning, just to be sure. BFN as expected, but I was starting to think I might be pregnant this month. I'm sure I'll get my drop tomorrow.

@VEGMAMA: I totally agree with @marionberry, you have lots of time! And how firm is your O date? Looks like it could've been a few days earlier.

Hey I tried changing my "nickname" on FF yesterday and it didn't seem to work...? It still shows the string of numbers. The worst is when I try to re-enter my chosen username in to the "nickname" field, it says it is already taken! Well yeah, by me!! Any suggestions?
