I have no idea how to describe these so bear with me, but our monitor came with something that would guide/attach the cord to the wall. It’s like a command strip that attaches to the wall with a groove in it that fits the cord. We have a series of five or so that guide the cord from the top corner of DD’s room to the outlet.

It clips closed so you could open it when you need to get the cord out.

@BadgerMom: I used something like that for TV cables in my old home, and I couldn't easily remove the cords from it. Maybe that particular model is different, but OP should do more research if she's interested in it.

They wear out after a certain number of open/close cycles, but are cheap and easy to replace when needed.

We ended up buying a second charging cord for ours, so we could leave one attached to the wall, and use the other for travel.

We have the cordmate from Hope Depot linked above and we leave it permanently attached but can pull out the cord when we need to take it with us for travel. We just unplug it from the camera and pull it through.

To put it back in I drop a piece of twine through the cordmate, tape it to the cord on the other end, and pull the twine back up so the cord comes with it. It's really easy.

That Cordmate product is also known generically as wire mold. You can get ones that stick to the wall and you can also secure with screws for stability. I imagine the adhesive would damage the paint if you took down, though.

I used these white cord tacks for some of my cables. Easy to install.
