We have a few couples we would like to buy joint gifts for and we are out of ideas. Last year we did tickets to sporting events and the year before we did dutch ovens with stuff for making popcorn. Price range is around fifty dollars. Any ideas?

We love to give fun board games to our couple friends! Pair it with a bottle of wine and some snacks and you've got a date night in a box.

I am also terrible at giving couples gifts. My cousins, however, are brilliant at practical gifting. I've gotten an emergency radio, superb quality thermos, a cooler for the car that folds up, memory foam bathroom mat. Its all stuff we really appreciate when we use them.

We were doing this with three couples. This year I called in advance and said: how do you guys feel about nixing the gifts, and going out to dinner together instead. Everyone was on board, and seemed happy.
I was feeling like I was just buying more stuff, for the sake of buying stuff, and didn't like it. The best gift is to get to spend some time with them, anyway! Forces us to set a date and make it happen!

I think we're gifting my parents a $50 gift card to Dave and Busters. I just don't know what else to give them & they love date nights!

@Cole: Do they have kids? I would give movie tix or restaurant gift card and offer to babysit for a few hours.
I love @Mrs. Garland's idea! Try Carcassonne, we've had friends over for board games nights and played this. Its easy to learn and pick up and fun!
