I think my DD is chronically over tired. We had a super rough week of staying up past the 2 hour mark, waking every 2 hours, taking 2.5hrs at night to go to sleep more than 40 min. It's a nightmare. I'm currently listening to her scream because she refused to let me pat her. She's 5 months old this week. I'm just at the end of my rope. I have no idea what her sleepy cues are. I think I miss them because she ends up getting fussy and then I rush her to sleep but by then it's too late. I feel like I'm a failure because I can't even read my own kids sleep cues at 5 months. I have no idea how to fix this and I'm so exhausted. I haven't slept since before she was born.
I'm so desperate that I looked up sleep consultants in our city and am seriously considering doing that. Maybe they'll be able to figure out her sleepy cues.
I feel like I'm in this endless cycle of hell of no sleep & naps. I can't sleep train while she's so over tired like this right?
Sorry I'm so all over the place. I don't even know the point of this thread. I guess just to see if anyone has any thoughts about chronically overtired baby and how to get them to sleep.
