Is being clingy something babies will grow out of? My first wasn't clingy at all. I wished she was clingy haha. Now my second can't be 2 feet from me. He's always been like this. But he does go to anyone. Just doesn't really like my husband, but will let strangers hold him. But if we're home playing he has to be sitting on my lap to play. If I set him down he sobs and crawls over to where I am. Is this just another part of colic?

I had two clingy babies and it won't always be that bad, but they still have their moments of clinginess at 3 and almost 6 years old. It's a million times better now, of course, but it was just as you described when they were babies.

I've heard boys tend to be more attached to mama as babies. And lots of breastfed babies are quite clingy to their moms so it all sounds normal. My LO always preferred mama until she weaned. I would try to have the baby spend alone time wit your husband though, to work on their bond.
