I did one round of clomid at 100mg and had hot flashes and some mood side effects my lining was under 8mm and I developed 3 follicles we did timed intercourse with that cycle and got a BFN. I did two rounds of femera, the first was 5mg my lining was much better but I developed 4 follicles, we did timed intercourse and got a BFN (probably a good thing). I had very few side effects on femera. My final cycle with femera my dose was reduced to 2.5mg I only produced 1 follicle and my lining was great and triple stripe that time. We decided to go big and did an IUI with that cycle, which resulted in my daughter.

I'm on my first round of letrozole (femara) 2.5mg with IUI. No horrible side effects. I was a little more emotional than normal but I had the most amazing four nights of sleep. I took it before bed and it made me sleep like a rock. Lining is great but only developed 1 mature follicle, currently at 22.5.

@Mrs Lavender: Good luck with this IUI. I only had 1 follicle and a great lining so I was in the same boat.

I did two rounds of clomid and 2 rounds of femara. I did not experience any major side effects. Unfortunately, both did not work. My follicles never grew big enough to trigger at the correct time. I had to move onto injectibles.

@Stardust17: Just a suggestion, but you might ask for prometrium instead of provera (or the generic of prometrium).

Provera is synthetic while prometrium is bioidentical. So it's more like what your body makes naturally.
