I usually do a cold rinse before a hot wash. My washing machine decided to die after the rinse started. The diapers are not rinsed and still smell like ammonia and poo. The maintenance guy will be here tomorrow!
I am going to bag up the dirty diapers (ugh!) and wash them at my MIL's house!

Yuck. My SIL is having this issue too, her plumbing for the whole house isn't working and she has a bag of dirty diapers just sitting there. Luckily they can stay with my parents, but for some reason she didn't bring her laundry..... at least bring the bag of dirty diapers!

UGH I am worried about this happening! We bought a house and they gave us the appliances and the washer is unreliable

We had a clog which meant we couldn't use our washer. I had dirty diapers too. We ended up running the wash but moving it so it just drained out the window into the plants.

That's the worst!
Our washer broke (wasn't draining...needed the filter cleaned out, which is not an easy thing to get to on our washer!) less than a month before LO was born. I just kept thinking that I was so glad that didn't happen once the diaper thing was happening. Yuck.

Phew! I was worried you were going to say you dried them in a commercial dryer and the PUL melted. Goodbye diapers! Heard that once before.
Bummer, still. That happened to us once. On a Friday so maintenance didn't come till Monday. Fun.
I hope they get nice and clean at your MILs! And maybe you can get a nap while the dryer runs and MIL keeps LO entertained?
