I have six pocket diapers that I have just started using on my five week old. I'm curious if others use all one type of diaper or different types, and how did you decide? There are so many options and I want to buy more but am almost afraid to buy the wrong thing...

I just picked one (BG freetimes) we've never used anything else so we know no different lol.

Lots of different kinds through trial and error for both LOs! I like BG 4.0s, BG Elementals, Grovia Hybrids, Thirsties AIOS and old fashioned flats with covers.
I never liked our BG Freestyle diapers or Fuzzi Bunz pockets so I sold them on Ebay!

I just picked one & only bought 1/2 of what I thought we would need in case I didn't like them. We loved them

I just use bumgenius 4.0s. They seemed best for us according to reviews I read, so I took a chance and got only that kind. Fortunately it worked out!

like others, I just picked a kind and went with it! the choices can be overwhelming. I bought 18 prefolds and 6 covers, and 6 BG freetimes, and have preferred different ones at different stages, but if I only had one kind that would be all I knew and wouldn't worry.

If it's working stick with that. Or you can try others. We have a mix!

We have a mix of BGs (freetimes, elementals, 4.0s) and a few others. They all work great for us.

I have a mix. I started out with BG AIO and I hated them, so now I have inserts, pockets, and covers.

We used a mix in the beginning, mostly fitteds and covers then moved to AIOs as she got older and more wiggly. I've never liked pockets.

I use almost all prefolds with covers. I chose them because they are less expensive, more durable, and less temperamental about was routine (not as prone to "stinkies"). I also have a few pockets for sitters or out and about.
