Just wondered if anyone has been to a water resort with a 7 month? Is it worth going with a baby and will she enjoy it? We are planning on going somewhere nice around thanksgiving and I thought of this place. I've never been to coco key resorts before. Any advice or input would be appreciated!

I've never been with my LO, but I think babies are easy to travel with at that age. I'm sure she'll love the water.
I would just take a floaty, sunblock, hat, sunglasses, etc for her!

I wanted to respond because no-one else has yet.
I would say that 7 months is a little too young to enjoy Cocokey. When I was there, there were a lot of young kids running around and playing rough.Most of the pools/activities will be too rough, and he/she will have a hard time enjoying the younger child stuff if not walking yet.
At that age, I think a hotel with a nice, big, calm regular pool (that allows babies) would be a slightly better option.
I don't think you'd have a terrible time if you went, I just think a regular pool would be better at that age.

@chopsuey119: Its an indoor water park type thing so we dont have to worry about the sun exposure.
@travelingbrit: Thanks for that feed back, were the kids rough in the little pool too? Because I hear they have pool that is only 1ft deep for little babies

@Mrsbells: I don't recall the resort we went to as having a baby pool (but to be honest, I wasn't specifically looking for it either). I think it just had slides, a river, a wave pool and a splash zone.

I'm not sure which one you're looking at, but I'm sure if there is a baby pool they will keep it under control.
I don't know - just to me, it seems like a lot of money if you're only going to use the baby pool.

@travelingbrit: we would be visiting friends in NJ area and wanted to visit their resort in Mt Laurel, NJ. It does have a baby pool called the dip in which is only 1ft deep as well as a regular pool and other attractions such as the slides, wave pool etc.
we wouldnt only use the baby pool but its nice that they have that. we will have to think about it some more, but I'm leaning towards going

We went to a place like that, it might have even been that place, when LO was young and opted not to put her in the water because DH read the reviews before and a lot of people said it was dirty. We were meeting a lot of cousins there so we just hung out poolside and watched them swim when all of a sudden...... everyone ran out of the water because there was a floating poo. Thank goodness we didn't go in!

I always try not to think about all the bodily fluids we share in a communal pool. But i will got read their reviews!
@travelingbrit: Thanks! If I do go I will definitely report back how it was. I just thought it might be a nice day trip but we will see how it goes -
@Mrsbells: Yeah you should look up the reviews because I'm pretty sure it's the same place.... but it might be cleaner by you because we went to the one in Orlando. I'm pretty sure it's a common occurrence there, and then you have to sit out of the water for 40 minutes while they shock it.

@artbee: Thanks for that tip. I have been reading their rewiews and have also compared it with sahara Sam which is another indoor water park in NJ. Most of the negatives were about the condition of the bathrooms towards the end of the day, and some people complained about rowdy kids,( mostly non-parents)
I think I am now leaning more towards sahara sam. Or maybe I will wait for LO to start walking first. I'll discuss it with DH
