How much coffee do you drink while breastfeeding? My daughter is 10 1/2 weeks old and I'm still trying to figure out how much is OK. I usually have one 16-oz coffee or Americano. Sometimes when she's fussy, I wonder if it's the coffee. So hard to tell!!

It never bothered my kiddo so I just had what I wanted! Usually 2 cups a morning.

I find that newborn fussiness appears at the 3 week mark, regardless of caffeine intake.

I have one BIG cup in the morning and I've never noticed it bugging her!

I could usually have two cups in the morning and it was fine. But not after about 1 or 2pm

I drink 1-3 cups of decaf with DD2 and its fine. With DD1 she was very sensitive to the caffeine and I didn't start drinking decaf till 4m during the regression.

DS was sensitive to coffee so I only drank decaf. DD never seemed to react to it, and I drank a lot more coffee while BF her (anywhere from 1 to 3 shots of espresso per day)!

My kids don't appear to be sensitive to coffee. I drink a big cup in the morning and then I have other caffeinated beverages throughout the day. It doesn't seem to affect them.

I usually only have 1 cup after 1 of my pumping sessions at work.
