Anyone else eyeing the Ninja Coffee Bar? It is WAY out of my budget but I can dream right?
I love espresso drinks (and I'm not picky), and iced coffee, and regular coffee, and I'm incredibly lazy.
Does anyone have one and have an opinion? I know they are pretty new.

I just weasled out of my DH that he was trying to save enough to buy me the Ninja for Christmas!! He was really disappointed that he couldn't quite save enough. I was given an unexpected gift at one of my jobs, so we decided to pool our money and get one! I can't wait.

We picked it up last night since we'll be out of town for Christmas. I've only made one cup but my first impressions are good! For a basic cup of coffee it is like a cross between regular coffee maker and keurig. You pick the coffee, it adds the water. I can't wait to try iced coffee in the summer.

I've been thinking writing an update since I got to try the iced coffee feature. It works well, melts most of the ice but doesn't leave you with a watery drink.
I will say though that after about a month the washable filter just stopped working and I started getting sludge in my coffee and it tasted burnt. I started using paper filters instead and that fixed the problem. It wasn't a deal breaker for me since I found a cheap and easy solution.
Just like any standard coffee maker there is more room to adjust how strong or weak you want your coffee, but more by adjusting the amount of grinds than the amount of water.
ETA: if you are switching from a kurig it is expensive but worth it for features. And it pays for itself since coffee is so much cheaper!

The only thing that annoys me is there is no easy way to tell how to make the specialty drinks in higher quantities (if you have friends over and want to make everyone lattes and brew all the espresso at once). I found the oz listings somewhere eventually, but I don't remember where.
