I remember being the shortest in my class in 5th grade. I leveled out as average height at some point during middle school. By high school, some people considered me tall.
LO is on the petite side compared to other 3 year olds and I wonder about her. DH is very tall so we are expecting her to be taller.

Just the opposite. I was one of the tallest girls in 6th grade (last year in elementary school for me) and then I stopped growing.

I was always the smallest. My mom kept saying how I'd get a good growth spurt in 6th grade like she did, but it never happened. I've been 5'1 ever since.

Yes, I was on the shorter side until I was 11 and then I shot up and am now very tall.

Opposite! When I was in elementary school I remember I was always one of the tallest girls. I think I was 5'3" by early middle school. Then everyone else grew and I didn't. By freshman year of high school I was still only 5'3" and now one of the shortest. I did pack on another 2 inches through hs though, slowly, to become sort of average.
DH was like you. He said he was always the shortest through elementary and middle school and starting high school. Then he hit his growth spurt and graduated high school at 6'3"! I'll be curious to see who our LO takes after

I've always been average height. My husband has always been tall. I suspect that our kids will be above average or tall.

I was always at the end of the line with the other shorties. I am 5'4" which is probably the most annoying height to be.

No. Like previous poster, I was always smallest or second smallest and I am now 5'1". My dad, however did not have a growth spurt until he was 19. Graduated high school at 5'4" and is 6' today. Soooo, it's possible!

I was the second shortest in my class throughout elementary.. there was one tiny girl who was smaller than me. Then I grew in 9th grade but only ended up at 5' 2"!

Yep, and my growth spurt came kind of late. My friends in middle school and the early high school years called me shorty and would tease me all the time. Well, jokes on them, because they stayed the same height and I had a big growth spurt between 10th and 11th grade. Now my best friend who called me shorty only comes up to my chin!

I was always the shortest and smallest kid in the class! My nickname was Tiny Tina. My brother was the same way. We both had growth spurts in high school. Now both of us are pretty average height (I'm tall for an Asian girl) and neither of us are "small"... haha

Yes, I was always the shortest in elementary school, and then the summer bewteen my sophomore and junior year of HS I grew about 5 inches and finally hit puberty lokoing like a woman instead of a little boy 
Rumors went around that I got a boob job...hahaha nope.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Same, but 5th grade for me. I was so happy I was so tall. Come start of 6th grade and I'm the shortest. What the heck. Been the shortest ever since.

Not me, but my sister was always the shortest in her class growing up. She hit a growth spurt between 8-9th grade and is now taller than me! She's 5'7 and I'm only 5'5.
In contrast, I was always one of the tallest in my class throughout preschool and elementary. I only remember this because when we lined up by height, I was always in the first 3. I evened out in 6th-7th grade, and now I'm just average.

I have always been the tallest and it was even more pronounced when younger since I only grew an inch or two in high school to become six feet tall. DD wil be just like me based on how big she is now.

Yes! I was third shortest graduating 8th grade (like 4'9") and I was 5'4 by the time I entered HS. I am now 5'5 1/2. I've never been tall
