I contacted an LC today for help with my 6 month old!

Over the past couple of months she has gotten fussier and fussier while nursing. She will go on fine for 4 minutes or so (especially on the right), but then will pop off and cry, go back on, suck once or twice, pop off and cry (continuing this way for a couple of minutes), and then pops off and cries but won't go back on.

I'll try burping her, but she cries and cries until I give her the other side. She'll spend 3 minutes or so there and then do the same thing!

She'll usually have 2-3 feedings a day where this happens. Her night feeding and first morning feeding are usually 15 minutes total, and she'll come off on her own all smiles. Her last feeding before bed is typically the worst.

Once she "finishes" I can distract her fairly easily, and then she's all smiles. The ped was a little unhappy with her weight gain at 4 months, but I'm not sure if she's using the WHO charts or not. She was born Dec 5, 2012 at 5 lbs 8.5 oz, and I weighed her the other day using the wii fit (so probably not super accurate) and she was 6 kg.

We're going to work on upping supply for a couple of weeks (I'm going away to my parents), and then we'll do an in-person consult.

Here's hoping we can fix this!
