Hello!
I'm about to go on my lunch break. I'm in a good mood because I'm finally getting caught up entering things in my desk planner (Happy Planner). I need to dig out some more old scrap booking stickers!
Dinner tonight is leftover chicken. DH grilled a giant costco pack this weekend (8.5lbs!). He did 4 breasts plain, 4 breasts BBQ and 4 breasts marinated in some Chipotle seasoning for burritos. Chicken for days but its making lunch/dinner prep this week very easy! Tonight we are adding the plain chicken to some pasta with some parmesan cheese.

@T.H.O.U.: Chicken is my favorite meal protein, I would happily have it every day!

Hi! I'll be actually able to participate today! So excited! Nothing exciting tonight. Probably leftovers. Blahhhh!

@schubr03: Yay! I'm probably having soup leftovers, but it was good so I'm happy to eat it.

Another thing to celebrate, I am 24 weeks pregnant today! Isn't that the vitality or viability or something points?! Wooo milestones!

@schubr03: I think so, woo hoo! Do you know what you're having or are you team green?

@Boogs: we know we are having another girl. But we haven't shared that in for with anyone IRL.

@schubr03: So fun! I almost wish I had done that, surprises are fun!

Hi! I'm taking a snack break at work right now. I'm sad because DD cried big tears and didn't want to let me go when I dropped her off at school today. It's only her second day and I know it will get better. It was still hard.
I'm still not back in the swing of cooking and having enough food in the house since I'm in the first trimester and want to puke often. But I'm feeling pretty good today and will stop by the store so I can get ingredients for tacos for dinner.

@Mrs. Pickle: Aww that's hard, hugs mama! But yay for tacos, it's always a hit in our house also.

Hey hey! The girls spent the night at my moms last night so I spent the morning working and doing a quick run to the store. Now I'm finishing up lunch before they come home.
I think we're having Salmon for dinner.

Trying hard to get stuff done during naptime even though I really just want to relax. My latest adventure in trying to be productive is a bullet journal and looking at it right now is just depressing.
But for supper... someone dropped off soup on a whim last night, and Panera sent me a coupon code so we are having soup and bagels and I don't have to cook anything!

Busy work day but I'll try to pop in now and then. For dinner... I'm defrosting a chicken pot pie that I froze a while back.

@Mrs. Sunshine: Gotta love shopping with no kids!
@brownepiano: I've been so bad about relaxing during nap time. I should be more productive, but sitter under a warm blanket has been calling my name lol.
@travellingbee: Love pot pie! I made a double batch last week so I could pop some leftover filling in the freezer for an easy meal.

I'm whiling away the time at work and trying really hard to not cry about still having 9 weeks left
Dinner... will probably be enchiladas. We froze some honey lime chicken last time (soooooo good) and I just have to thaw the chicken, wrap it in tortillas with the cheese and sauce and pop it in the oven till the cheese is melted.

My two toddlers are both napping today! Hooray (one is mine). Mac and cheese for dinner tonight with some leftover truffle cheese on top that I have leftover from Christmas...provided my daughter lets me cook dinner after our daycare buddy goes home tonight.

I'm exhausted this week. My grandfather's in the ICU and has had 4 surgeries since they told us to gather the family to say goodbye last Friday. My kids and I have been battling colds, and my back is always crap during pregnancy. Still, today was a fun day at the children's museum with friends, so I can't complain too much! We're having stuffed peppers and a salad tonight.

@rattles: All that and you're still cooking, impressed! So sorry about your grandpa.
@codeitall: So sorry, hopefully the 9 weeks fly by.
@Mrs. Goose: I bow down to you, the elusive double nap is magical.

@Boogs: we're in the middle of a self proclaimed "austerity January" or you can bet there'd be take out on the menu

We are probably having tacos. We have all of the fixings for it and everything else is frozen, so...yes. And I wish people would get back to me at work! I've emailed and called so many people and now am sitting here twiddling thumbs.

@rattles: Oh man, you're stronger than I am!
@mediagirl: That's the worst!

@Boogs: it was heavenly! It shouldn't be that hard because they are only a few weeks apart in age, but their sleep needs are quite different.
Dinner was delicious!

@Mrs. Goose: I seriously don't know how people do it without the double nap. My four year old does quiet time while her sister naps because we could all use the break! I'm hesitant to put them in the same room (they want to share) because I'm worried I'll lose the double nap time!
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@Mrs. Goose: It sounded like it would be!
@rattles: Mine share a room. The oldest doesn't nap, but in the night or the morning if one is up they both are. No fun.
pear / 1737 posts
@rattles: mine has shorter naps than the other by an hour usually, but at least there is usually an hour where they are both sleeping. She didn't nap two days last week and yesterday didn't nap either. It made the day so much more tiring for me and I'm also pregnant so I just wanted to snooze myself while they napped. I went to bed super early last night.

I had hospital food for dinner because I had a baby today!!! The food sucked but the baby is pretty awesome.

@Boogs: I can't say you're changing my mind
@IRunForFun: how exciting! Congratulations!

Today was a super productive day! Everything worked out great with our schedule. I even delivered a family meal 1 hour earlier than I expected for my Mother's Ministry group. (We sign up to deliver meals to moms who just had a baby.)
