If you have multiple cars, do/did you have a convertible carseat for each car? Or do you actually move the carseat? Or do you only drive the car with the carseat in it?
With the infant carseat, we had 2 separate bases. I know it's not terribly hard to move the carseat, but I think I want a 2nd one for our other car.

We have a convertible in each car because DH drops LO at the babysitter and I pick her up.

We got a second, less expensive seat for my husbands car. Makes things a lot easier, I'd hate to take out and reinstall it all the time.

We have one for each car. We bought the Foonf for my car (we use it most often) and got a cheaper one for DH's car. We wanted both in case of emergency.

@Silva: BTW - I was reading a post from awhile back, you were concerned about the fit of the Pria in your car? I just wanted to tell you, I installed ours in my small C230, and it's perfectly fine! I actually could move back the front seat more than when the infant carseat was installed!

We only had one. I'm a WAHM and we kept the seat in my car. If my husband was taking Chloe somewhere he'd switch the seat to his car. He didn't take mine because I don't know how to drive his car (it's a stick).
We just bought a seat from Target and are so glad we purchased a second seat... Finally! Since he doesn't drive her as often, it didn't make sense to buy another Britax. We are very happy with the purchase.

@shopaholic: yes, we put it in last weekend. It's awesome, l love it. We got a britax roundabout for my husbands car and it's really nice for the price, too., just FYI. Takes up a bit more space though!

There is no way I'd switch it between cars! We have a Pria and we're also going to get a cheaper seat (Evenflo Sureride) for the car that she's rarely in.

Two. So we have 4 convertibles now with 2 kids. Yeah we could get by with just one set in my car, though, since DH doesn't drive them at all during the week.

We need two. Two jobs and two cars! Our schedules are different and DH's changes from week to week. Sometimes he gets off early and picks up LO so I don't have to. Both grandmas have their own in their cars too.

@Silva: We are the same way. The more expensive one stays in my car, since he is in there the majority of the time. The second less expensive, but still safe, is used by my husband.

We only have seats in my car since I am pretty much always with them. On the rare occasion that DH takes the LOs he just drives my car.

Just in one - I'm a SAHM so LO is always with me, so the car seat stays in my car. If DH needs to take LO somewhere by himself, he will just take my car.

We had one for the longest time bc I was SAHM and LO was always just with me. We would just switch cars for whoever had LO. It got to be a pain and an inconvenience so we bought a 2nd car seat. LO goes to a MDO class and I started work part time and it's so much easier with an extra. Either my husband uses it or my parents use it when they are with her. We also used the cheaper one when we went on a trip and checked the carseat.

We use both cars equally since we share daycare dropoff and pickup and it's nice to be able to take whichever car on the weekend without having to switch a seat every time.

TWO! I figure we'll be using these seats until LO is nearly 4, so that's a long time. We didn't want to deal with sharing seats, even though my car is LO's primary ride. Especially when LO goes to pre-school at 3, DH will need a car seat if he does morning drop-offs or emergency pick-ups.

Two Britax Boulevards. One stays in my car, and my FIL has the second in his car. I'm a SAHM, and we only have one car that can accommodate both kids. My FIL takes DS1 once a week to give me a little break.

We have two! I have the Foonf for my car since I have her all week and we found a Nextfit super cheap that we got for DHs car. We didn't go too cheap since once DH gets a new car that will be the weekend car and road trip car.

Two, we both do pick up and drop offs. We got the same one, safety first brand. We will be getting two more once LO#2 outgrows her bucket seat... But it won't be for awhile.

Absolutely two! The more you move it, the more you increase your risk of a not-so-good install.
We have a Foonf in my car and will get another, less expensive, seat for DH's car once I go back to work and it's necessary for us to use both cars.

Until a few weeks ago, my car was the only one with a car seat. We had an incident while I was driving to work when lo had an allergic reaction. Thank goodness it wasn't bad enough where he needed medical services. Once I got to work I ordered a carseat for dh's car. Even though lo will rarely sit in dh's car, to me it's important there's one available if there's an emergency. Car seats are expensive but peace of mind is worth it.

They're all different price points, so it doesn't have to be a ridic expense.

We have two - one for each car. Hubs does daycare drop off and I do pickup, so if we only had one, we'd have to uninstall/reinstall every single day. So annoying! They're both the Graco My Size 70 and we waited for them to go on sale at Kohl's so each was about $137.

We have a clek foonf for the only car dd rides in... Dh uses the second vehicle for work or when I have the main car . We did but a second car seat (cheaper) for my moms car though!

We have 1 right now (Radian), but I'm looking for a cheaper and lighter 2nd convertible for DH's car that will work for when we travel also.
