if it were me, i would probably pick some favourites, convert those, and ditch the rest! sadly, DH is a DVD hoarder, so i'm never going to get to do that

@birdofafeather: we have an external hard drive plugged into our tv with converted movies on it! it's probably easier than popping a movie into the DVD player, hehe

My brother did this. He put all his DVDs onto a hard drive and then connected the hard drive to the TV somehow so they can just watch whatever they want easily. I sort of like the idea-- but also I'd miss my physical DVDs.
