I love my calphelon 12 inch ceramic pan and my calphelon stainless 12 inch for different types of cooking. I tend to use an enameled cast iron pot for soups and stews and love my one from the lodge.

The red copper brand is great and so easy to clean. I got the set from Kohls for Kohls cash but everyone has it.

Scanpans and green life are both great! Scan pan is a little pricier

@crazydoglady: wow, those are amazing! I wish I was in the market for new cookware, ours takes up so much space in our storage-challenged kitchen!
I love my calphalon pots too!

If you need a giant pasta pot don’t spend $$$$. Precise heat transfer and retention isn’t really important just for boiling water or simmering soups. For investment in stainless steel, classic all clad is my go to. Mine is 10 years old and looks and acts brand new.

I used stainless steel for all my pots bc I like to put everything in the dishwasher. Calphalon brand I think? My husband bought nonstick for his skillet he used because of the items he cooks in it (eggs. Bacon. Etc). I don't need my pots to be non stick, because I don't really cook anything in them that would stick anyway.

I love my lecruset cast iron frying pan. I use it for a huge portion of my cooking.
The pot I use the most is an enamel coated cast iron Dutch oven. I use it for soup, spaghetti, baking bread... Pretty much anything that I can't cook in my frying pan. I don't remember the brand.
I also have an enamel on steel stock pot from lecruset and it's really nice. Easy to clean because of the enamel and not as heavy as cast iron.

We got a set of Calphalon tri-ply (stainless steel) for our wedding 5.5 years ago, and really love it. I also use our cast iron skillet all the time.

@Rocker2014: They are seriously the best. They were so expensive to me, but DH and I decided to not buy christmas gifts for each other and buy these instead.
