A week+ into this cold, my cough is getting worse and worse, so I finally took a BFing "safest" cough syrup from Kelly Mom's list. I am soooo drowsy. Lawd help me make it through this afternoon... K is getting impatient with independent play, but all I want to do is lay down on the ground with her. lol.
There's not point to this. Just so drowsy. Hate being sick.

Awww, being sick and having to take care of a baby is sooooooo hard! That's one good thing about being a full-time WOHM. When I was sick last week, I sent Xander to daycare and I spent the day sleeping, only waking up to pump and watch TV! I hope you feel better soon!!!!

Ugh! I'm sorry! I eat honey by the spoonfuls when I have cough... I've even made a "homemade" cough syrup for DH before on top of the aromatherapy we use. Seems to work pretty good for the most part.

Uggh. So sorry you're sick. I have a wicked cough right now, as well and feel your pain. What cough med did you take? I'm surprised it made you sleepy unless you just react to medicine in general?

I had a cold for over 2 weeks and while I feel much better, my cough is still sticking around.

I don't know if this will help you, but it's worth a shot: my LO had a dry, hacking cough for a few days, and I started him on elderberry syrup. His cough was completely gone within 4 days! It started improving almost immediately after I started giving him the syrup. I was so pleasantly surprised that it worked so well!

@mediagirl: Dextromethrophan? 12 hour formula though. I don't know if it's supposed to be non-drowsy, but even K seemed really "off" today. I'm going to try and avoid it anymore.
@mssally: Yes! I've been going out, but trying to avoid everyone with babies - don't want to get anyone else sick! But it's been lonely.
