Ugh noooooo. As a student with no time and a 6 month old, the only way I'm eating real food and not junk is by cooking giant batches and reheating in the microwave. No time for sitting around waiting for it to heat on the stove!

@SupernovaJ: What are you paranoid of happening?
We don't use it more than once a week or so, but it's SO much more convenient for the things we do with it. The occasional left overs, heating up a can of corn or baked beans, etc. There are other ways to heat those things up, but I wouldn't give my microwave up. Convenience is a HUGE thing to me.

I *could* but would not want too. I would miss the convenience too much!

I probably could. We have the smallest one I could find that sits inside an upper kitchen cupboard. But for some things it's really the best tool for the job. Is there a place you could put a small one that isn't on the counter maybe somewhere other than the kitchen so you would have one for only the times you really needed it?

Is it healthier to heat stuff on the stove? I don't think I'd want to give ours up -- we eat a lot of leftovers and it would be pretty annoying to have to reheat all the time without a microwave.
