DS is 12.5 months and we are still breastfeeding. Although I pumped at work, I wasn't able to produce enough to cover daycare, so I'd send 2 bottles of formula and 1 bottle of breastmilk to daycare. When DS turned 11.5 months we transitioned him from formula to cow's milk. Since then I've sent only cow's milk to daycare (no BM - I've stopped pumping, hooray!) and nurse in the morning/night and on weekends.
My question is: does DS need cow's milk everyday? On weekends and days off I've only been nursing him and not giving him cow's milk. Is that alright?
When we transitioned DD to WCM during the day (I still nurse at wake up and bedtime), I stopped nursing during the days on weekends as well - it was just too confusing to her to do something different during the week than we did on weekends. I am actually glad to be done nursing during the day (I can wear regular clothes again!!), but if your LO is okay with switching things up, that sounds great.
