I am 36 weeks pregnant, and just had a mini(or not so mini) freakout. I've always been a small B-Cup, and aside from my nipples getting darker and bigger, my actual boobs have not increased in size. I was starting to wonder, does this mean I am going to have issues with breast feeding?? Can you share your experiences, please?

@BcBgStar03: mine didn't change until my milk came in and I nursed no problem. 10 months into nursing LO2, no supply issues.

'No breast changes' is a risk factor for not having enough milk producing tissue - but you've had changes! I think you'll be fine.

Darker and minimal leaking, but no big size change and I produced more than enough for 18 months and again at 10 months so far. They got enormous once my milk came in at 4 days PP, then regulated back to a reasonable size.

Not at all! My boobs didn't grow one bit with my first pregnancy and my issue ended up being too much milk, not too little. At only 2 days pp, the LC in the hospital joked that 50 years ago they would have hired me on the spot to be a wet nurse for the entire nursery. They will definitely grow when your milk comes in and it's needed!

mine didn't grow a whole lot and I did have supply issues, but I had enough milk to nurse for a month before I needed to supplement some. I also had other things going on that could have messed up my supply. You probably won't have any problems!

Mine didn't grow with my first pregnancy until my milk came in and I got engorged. Had a very good supply and nursed lo for 13 months.

I didn't notice much change and I nursed
for around a year! Only felt engorged a few tikes but at 18 months my daughter is 89% for weight and 99% for height. I wouldn't worry about it and just see what happens! -

My boobs didn't grow very much and I did have supply issues. As @sarac: said, it CAN be a sign, but as you see from all these other moms, it's unlikely. The vast majority of women are able to make plenty of milk!
If you do have issues, goat's rue is an herb that is known for increasing glandular tissue. There is a supplement that includes it called More Milk Special Blend that I really recommend! But don't waste your money on it when chances are you won't need it

My boobs stayed the same size the entire time (small B) right up until I deilvered and then they grew like crazy and I had way more than enough milk! I thought the same thing, wondering if I wpuld even gave milk in there

I was the same way! My breasts didn't feel/look different until my milk came in a few days after delivery, and I nursed my first for 2 years with no supply issues.

Mine didn't increase in size until my milk came in, and even then I probably only went up half a size or so! I didn't have any supply issues. No worries momma

My boob size never changed except for a few weeks after my
Milk came in. I have had zero supply issues. -
My boobs didn't change until I got my milk in - a week or so after birth! Then they grew, grew holy cow grew.

I had minimal breast changes or growth and my milk never fully came in so in my case I think there probably was some connection. I had a little to feed my son and continued nursing during my maternity leave because he liked it but I had to pretty much fully supplement pretty early on. I don't necessarily think it will be the same for you or anyone else and I'm hoping I have better luck next time.

My band size changed during pregnancy but not my boob size. At least not until after I gave birth. It certainly hasn't impacted my ability to breastfeed.

@BcBgStar03: my bff and I were both pregnant at the same time, both with A cups that had darkened nipples, but no real size changes. We spent many many hours obsessing over this very question and we talked to our doctors about it, lactation consultants, childbirth class instructors, etc. Then we had our babies, both of us had abundant supply, and we're both still nursing our 18 month olds. And I am 30 weeks pregnant, and haven't even had supply issues during pregnancy. We were just laughing about how much energy we spent worrying about this yesterday.

Nope same with me. Mine didn't get bigger until my milk came in and then they were huge. I nursed with no supply issues for 13 months.

I had a very similar issue. No major changes during pregnancy but my milk came in 3 days postpartum and I nursed my son successfully for just under 2 years!

Mine didn't change until my milk came in and then I had so much of an over supply it was a pain in the ass. Size means nothing!

Looks like you've got lots of responses, but my boobs didn't grow at all while I was pregnant either, and I nursed successfully for 14 months.

@BcBgStar03: My boobs never got bigger, but I nursed for 14 months and even had enough of a frozen supply to donate over 500oz! Boob growth is no indication at all.

Nope! No growth here until I had my babies then my boobs got huge.
