Bees I need your help!
It's pretty crazy, but I can not seem to make a decision on a bedding set for the crib. I am not due till the end of December, but DH wants to get the nursery painted. The crib set I originally fell in love with is almost $500 so that is out of the question. Here are the only ones in our price range I could find that I like -

I like the 3rd the best with the second coming in...well...second 
The chevron just seems busy to me. Good luck with whatever you choose!

I like the chevron, especially because I think it can work with different color palettes. The other sets feel like they could be a little bit constricting as far as the rest of the nursery decor goes.

Love the construction truck because of the pop of orange. I like the chevron, its gender neutral if you're thinking about more children

I love the gray chevrons. We were considering a similar set and adding raspberry, but decided on something different. So cute though!

Gray chevrons and then addin a fun accent color! Maybe paint the room a nice bright aqua or something?

I love the gray, but I'm biased because Xander's bed set is gray as well!
And I second @loveisstrange's suggestion of the bright paint color! Maybe something like this (hehehe):

Is the nusery also going to be his "big boy" room? If so, I would go for something neutral that you can transition to a different bed set later.

I like the gray chevron. I like patterns for nursery bedding. I'm not a big fan of animals, cars, trucks, butterflies, etc on bedding though.

Thanks ladies for the input!! We are going to go with the gray chevron and add some color on the walls! I will post pics when we are done!
@adira - I love his room! I think we may copy your accent color! I am loving the gray. We're getting dark furniture as well.
@navyrn2012 - DH doesn't love that stuff either, but when we had mentioned doing the chevron we got some looks from some family members that believe a nursery should have baby fish, baby bunnies, baby monkeys ect.
