Has anyone successfully done this with a 2yo? DS is 24 months and bc of baby sis, need to make a move, potentially to the full guest bed already in his room but I'm totally scared that this will be too big a change for my awesome sleeper.

DD went from her crib to a queen at 2yo. I was worried because she slept so well in her crib, and besides the first 2 weeks (which were borderline hellish) it was a seamless transition and she loves her big bed

We switched LO1 to a full bed from a crib at 2.5 and she essentially had no issues. She loved her bed and slept better after the transition! She also enjoyed that we made a day out of picking everything out and setting it up.

Wondering about this too. DS will be 2 years 4 months when LO#2 is born and not sure if we want to buy another crib to have DS in a toddler bed when we could have him in a full bed.

Our cribs transtioned into Full size beds so we went straight to that. Both my kids were surrounded by stuffed animals
so they still felt confined

We always had a queen bed and crib in her room (former guest room) and she preferred the big bed for a long time, but wasn't mature enough to stay in it for a while. When she figures out how to climb out of the crib we did the switch full time and she has been fine- she has never been a fantastic sleeper so it didn't make it worse at least. But when we tried to do it at 2 it was a big fail, she just could not stay in the bed at bedtime. So we went back to the crib for a few more months.
