What are your thoughts on crocs? Yay or nay?
I'm not a fan but I know people that love them.

For LOs? Okay. But a big fat NAY to everyone else. Unless they are actually being worn for, say, gardening.

I'm not a fan of them on myself, but E wore them all summer/into fall. One of his favorite things to do is play with the hose/jump in puddles, and we because of where the hose it he needs shoes on...those were definitely the most convenient/dried quickest.

This lady at Bs tumbling class told me her LO loved crocs. If I have my way B will never have a pair. I'm a fashion snob

@littlek: I am with you. I am going to do my best to make sure R never wears a pair.

@lovehoneybee: I think they are great for water play or gardening..

My kids love their crocs. In the summer, my DS would wear his crocs over his pediped sandals any day.

I am not a fan for me but I seriously support and think people should wear what is comfortable and works for them! Shoes/ feet are important.

Yay for kids. My husband is anti croc all around but my mil bought some for T - they are still a size too big but is obsessed and wears them around the house and thinks they are a toy.

they are super duper comfortable so kids love them. but i just get the kids natives instead because they are a little more stylish and stay on their feet much better.

Major nay!!!! They are pretty cute in super teeny sizes but I much prefer Natives for adults and kids.

Wow, I'm the only one who admits to liking adult Crocs. I loved them when I was pregnant. I totally understand why nurses and docs wear them.

I liked them for LO bc they were easy to slip on and off when we were going out to the back yard or playing in water. They're def not that cute though!

For me, nay unless it's the ones that don't look like the clogs that make my feet look huge. For my kids, yay for sure! It's such an easy shoe to wear in a rush which is all the time for us! My only gripe is that it does fall off or easy for my youngest to kick off when he's upset about something. So when I know we'll be out all day I put shoes he can't take off by kicking it.

I was firmly anti crocs for everyone but my mom got LO a pair and honestly, I love them. They look adorable on her little feet and are so handy to have. She really only wears them for water play outside or to go to the water playground or beach, for non-water based activities, she wears normal shoes.

I was pretty anti-crocs until LO got a pair. They are perfect for playing at the beach or in the sandbox. They can just be hosed off! And I know I'm biased, but I think they look pretty cute on her for being hideous rubber shoes.

Never. And DH is anti crocs for LO because it's a huge danger on escalators (he's an elevator/escalator mechanic).
pineapple / 12566 posts
I think they are hideous. Someone gave us a pair for DS and I admit that they were the perfect beach/park/summertime shoe. I like that they can be easily rinsed. I don't think I would actually buy them though.

I have 2 pair for work that are super cute and don't look like crocs. I get compliments every time I wear them. The classic ones, I wouldn't wear but have no problem with DS wearing them.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
For kids, I think they're eh; and parents always compliment how easy they are to slip on and off. And great for summer time so they can splash in the water whenever and it dries off quickly.
squash / 13764 posts
Nay. I can't see how they're good for LOs either, they seem like they would come off way too easily while running.
pomelo / 5228 posts
No way! They look tacky IMO. I prefer Keens, though they are way more expensive...
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Rainbow Sprinkles: Well if everyone looked that adorable in crocs it would be a definite yay.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
Not really a fan, but could see them being good when we are at the lake this summer for LO.
grapefruit / 4817 posts
Yay for LO's. They've been the most practical show for my son thus far.
And I own a pair myself for gardening and fishing, as do a lot of people I know. We all know they're hideous, but they serve their purpose, so we get over it.

We love them. I live in the flats, my husband lives in the leather "boat shoes", and my daughter lives in her Clogs and Mary Jane style crocs. We actually just picked up a pair of Crocs snow boots for her. I think they come in fun colors & are amazingly comfortable..,. big YAY from us.
