@Penny Lane: Depends on what you are in the mood for... chocolate or vanilla cupcakes? Maybe cheesecake cupcakes? I have a few recipes I could share.

@bluestriped bee: I'm leaning towards chocolate... Since I made vanilla cupcakes over the weekend

@Penny Lane: I made these irish car bomb cupcakes for St. Patty's day. They were delish! I made a lot so half of them are in my freezer. It's so yummy to thaw one and have one for dessert. http://www.browneyedbaker.com/2011/03/14/irish-car-bomb-cupcakes/

@bluestriped bee: Sounds amazing! Unfortunately, no alcohol in my house

@Penny Lane: Oh, shoot. I need to remember that I might be talking to pregnant ladies. Sorry. I don't know if I have another chocolate cupcake. I do have a rustic red velvet recipe with a cheesecake middle.

@bluestriped bee: Haha, that's okay. It's not just the pregnancy, I've never touched alcohol before in my life
I think I'm giving up on my cupcake dream for tonight, I realised I'm just too lazy for that right now

@bluestriped bee: I just followed that car bomb cupcake recipe... Eek! Whatever about the bun, the drink sounds horrendous!
I think myself there's a lot to be said for a proper, regular chocolate cupcake, once it's proper butter in the buttercream. Nom nom. As soon as we get a freezer (this weekend, hopefully) I'll be making a batch (5doz) and at least we'll have something nice in the house for baby admirers.

I've been a cupcake addict lately, like cooking a different recipe every week. So far, the best one is this pb&j cupcake: http://cupcakevillains.wordpress.com/2012/04/04/peanut-butter-and-jelly-cupcakes/. DH, my official taste tester :), was floored by them too. I find it funny that out of all the crazy recipes I try, something as simple as pb&j is the best.

Don't have a recipe off the top of my head, but nothing beats a red velvet cupcake!

Love red velvet! Cupcakes (and cake) were the thing I craved during pregnancy. Not surprising given my user name!
