So I'm watching the republican debate and it has me thinking. I don't need to know WHAT your beliefs are, but I wonder what other people evaluate in terms of deciding what they want for America (or your country if you're not American).

For example, I think some people are mostly concerned about the right now of their immediate family. What will I pay in taxes, What federal programs do I want to take advantage of right now, etc. They think the future is too uncertain so they just want the best deal they can personally get this minute. Others I think are more focused on moving the country in a way that they think is best for their family long term. They think about things that aren't necessarily important to them right now like social security and healthcare. Others I think want policies that meet their moral beliefs (whether that be taking care of the poor, or fighting against gay marriage/abortion/etc).

Obviously there is going to be a variety of factors, but vote for the one CLOSEST to how you feel, and elaborate if you wish.
