We are planning on naming our daughter Emerson, and I thought it would be cute to put a Ralph Waldo Emerson quote in her nursery. I found this one taht I thought was perfect for a little girl:
Be Silly, Be Honest, Be Kind. -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
DH likes the quote but thinks we should leave off the author since he thinks it's corny since it has her name in it. I like it because it has her name in it! Thoughts?

but I do think it can just be kept simple, with the author's name left off the wall... his whole name is rather long too. but if you really want it on there and it doesn't make the wall too cluttered (maybe a smaller font size for his name?), it could work! not corny though... cute coincidence

Are you naming her after RWE? I mean, either way I love the name, but if you are naming her after him (which is a pretty great namesake) then definitely include it. I agree to put his name in a smaller font, because otherwise his name will be longer than the quote, but I like the whole idea.

My LO's name is Rose and we have roses everywhere, including lyrics to the song "everything is Rosie."

@Foodnerd81: No not necessarily after him, I have just always had a love for the name after seeing the cutest girl in Target with pigtails getting in trouble for running, and her mom was yelling her name. I have had it picked out before DH and I even met.
I do have a love for literature though, so added bonus there!
