I buy the plain white ones from iPlay on diapers.com. I figure they're gender neutral and the dark ones look too warm to me!

@looch: charlie has one from iplay, and it is so loose compared to the one we have from target, which fits him great. it was a hand me down though from a couple years ago.
does the iplay one fit your son well?

My son has a big head so he needs a bigger size otherwise they won't go over! I find it fits well and it washes really well too.
I bought one from Carters last year, it was just okay, the material wasn't as thick as the iPlay ones.

We got DD one from Target earlier in the year.

We got a nice Koala kids one from Toys R Us that looks really slick and fits really nicely.

DD is just using his brother's old rashguard. Yup, it's blue but it doesn't bother me. She still looks cute.

@regberadaisy: A rash guard was designed for surfing because you get a lot of chafe from your surfboard from paddling out and popping up on your board... but nowdays with sun exposure known to be so bad for kids we use them as great UV protection for our little ones when they go to the pool or beach

I really like the ones from Old Navy and Target. This time of year they are often on clearance.

We found a Hello Kitty one at H&M. It was the only place I could find a full sleeve rashguard for 0-6m.

I got my kids UV rash gaurd sun suits (long shorts, long sleeves, and hat) from Costco. I can't remember if you said you have a Costco near you or not?

I was looking on Amazon today and saw some cute sunsuits. They're one pieces instead of traditional rash guards but they may work?

thanks everyone! but i discovered we had 2 rashguards in a bag of used clothes i bought for olive a while back, so i don't have to buy them after all. yay for saving money!
