Unfortunately I remember so little of what happened during labor & delivery! It's coming back to me in bits and pieces. I remember now that my OB mentioned using Cytotec after the baby was out...maybe rectally? Something about the bleeding? My first thought was I didn't really want Cytotec, but whatever. Does anyone know what he was referring to?

I think Cytotec is commonly given when you have a hemorrhage post partum?

Cytotec is used to help your uterus contract back down, I think. I was given it or something similar when I hemorrhaged.

Cytotec is used to contract your uterus, so I'd imagine if it was given to you postpartum it would have been to stop heavy bleeding. It's very common to give a shot of pitocin after birth for that reason.

Yep i had it and was given it sublingual.
